Carpet Cleaning/Upholstery Cleaning
What kind of cleaning method do you use?
Milie uses the latest technology on the market at the minute. We specialise in deep cleaning carpets and rugs leaving them great looking and bacteria free.
Our technicians use self-neutralizing chemicals that remove the dirt built up not only on the surface but also deep into the fabric, leaving your carpets/rugs fresh clean and with radiant colours...Our technology of carpet/ rug cleaning has proven to dramatically improve the bond between fabric fibres without damaging or discolouring it...an excellent way to extend the life of your soft furniture.
Do you remove stubborn stains?
Milie's carpet cleaning service includes special treatment for stubborn stains. However we could not give you 100% guarantee that the stains will disappear, as they might have coloured the fabric or even damaged it. Before we start the service we would need some additional information regarding the nature of the stain, how long it has been on the carpet and whether you have tried to remove it before. Please note that some stains from blood, red wine, coffee, oil, paint est. cannot be completely removed. In such cases contact our specialists as soon as possible.
Do you steam clean sisal or seagrass carpets?
Unfortunately these types of fabrics cannot be steam cleaned as they are made from natural fibres and shrinks when exposed on high temperature.
Do I need to move around the furniture?
No, our team would do that.
How long would it take for the carpet/rug to dry?
On average it has to take between 2 - 3 hours, however some fabrics take up to twice this much. To speed up the drying period we recommend opening all windows/ doors so that fresh air can circulate into the rooms.
Do you have a minimum call out charge?
The minimum call out charge for carpet/rug and upholstery cleaning is £60. Note: congestion and parking charge may apply. Please contact our advisers for ongoing offers.
Do you clean upholstery and curtains?
Milie specialises in cleaning carpets as well as upholstery and curtains.
Our knowledgeable technicians can identify the fabric type of each upholstered piece and what cleaning methods will give your upholstery the best, safest and longest lasting results. We treat curtains with extreme care, as the fabrics are very delicate.
Pre/End of Tenancy Cleaning
What does Pre/End of Tenancy Cleaning include?
Pre/End of Tenancy cleaning is a thorough /deep cleaning of your home/office premises. Please check out a task list. We have personally trained our staff to provide high quality and efficient service. All sites are personally visited by Milies' management representatives whilst our staff is working, to make sure that the standards we require are met, once the service is done we file a report, which you can present in front of your landlord or estate agent. Our standards cover the requirements of inventory check.
Do you do spot cleaning on walls and ceilings?
Unfortunately Milie does not offer this service as we cannot be sure if the surface is washable or not. However we are able to carry out such request under signed agreement between the Customer and Milie Services LTD, which states that the Customer is in full awareness of the risk and holds full responsibility of any damages caused by Milies' operatives while attempting to for fill request.
Does Pre/End of Tenancy Cleaning include window cleaning?
Yes, Pre/End of Tenancy cleaning does include window cleaning. However our professionals will clean the windows only from inside unless there is a safe access from outside the property or the windows can open internally.
How long would it take to clean my premises?
It very much depends on the size of the property and how well it's been maintained. On average if you have
1 bedroom property - 5 to 6 hours
2 bedroom property - 7 to 8 hours
3 bedroom property - 9 to 11 hours
4 bedroom property - 12 to 14 hours
5 bedroom property - 14 to 17 hours
Please note that if your property has more than one bedroom we will send a team of two or more cleaners for the same quoted price in order to reduce the needed time.
Do you provide all cleaning products and equipment?
Yes, we do use our own cleaning equipment and detergents, which are included into the initial quote given by our representatives.
Do you collect keys from Estate Agencies?
Milie could collect keys for your promises from third parties, but there is an extra charge on top of £10.00
What if the inventory clerk is not satisfied with the standard of the cleaning?
If the inventory clerk is not satisfied with specific areas of the cleaning, Milie's representative would return back to the property and redo the job, as long as you contact us within 24 hours after the service has been done.
Do I have to be at the premises through the whole cleaning or I can leave them unsupervised?
You can leave the cleaners at your property unsupervised as they are fully vetted, insured and fully trained. However we are more than happy for you to stay and supervise. We expect you to be at the property in the beginning of the service to let our professionals in as well as at the end of the service to inspect their work.
If I book Pre/End of Tenancy Cleaning and Carpet/Upholstery cleaning would the two services be done on the same day or do I need to book these services on two different days?
We have fully trained our representatives, and they are able to work by themselves or in team. Therefore you do not necessarily have to book the two services in two separate days. If you need both services we would first send a team of cleaners who would clean the rooms which are carpeted and towards the middle of the service one of our carpet/upholstery cleaners would arrive and clean the carpets/rugs and upholstery.
After Builders Cleaning
What does After Builders Cleaning include?
After Builders cleaning is a thorough /deep cleaning of your home/office premises. Please check out a task list. We have personally trained our staff to provide high quality and efficient service. All sites are personally visited by Milies' management representatives whilst our staff is working, to make sure that the standards we require are met.
How long would it take to clean my property?
Our After Builders cleaning is very précised and detailed. We mainly concentrate on the dust built up not only on the surfaces but also on the walls and ceilings. Therefore After Builders cleaning takes twice and long as Pre/End of tenancy cleaning.
Do you remove paint and building material left on the surfaces?
Yes, we do provide cleaning products for different surfaces designed to remove paint and building material without damaging your furniture or flooring.
One off Cleaning Service
What does One off cleaning service include?
One off cleaning consists of general house work and ironing. We have prepared a standard task list, however you are more than welcome to prepare different tasks for the cleaner depending on your requirements and needs.
Do you have minimum hours per visit on One Off basis?
Yes we do. The minimum hours per visit are 3 hours.
Can the cleaner clean my property for 3 hours?
That depends very much on how big your property is, how well it has been maintained and what your requirements are. One off cleaning is not as deep as Spring cleaning. If you book a cleaner for 3 hours which is our minimum per visit, the cleaner will be able to do general dusting, tiding up, vacuuming/mopping floors and possibly some ironing.
This service is ideal for people who have regular cleaners, but need deeper cleaning of certain areas, maintenance of their premises in case of absence of their regular cleaner, or just would like to try out our services before they become our Customers on a regular basis.
Do you provide cleaning products and equipment on One off basis?
We do provide cleaning products on One off basis but not the equipment. Please contact our advisers for these options.
Domestic Cleaning
Do you have minimum hours per visit?
The minimum hours per visit on a weekly and fortnightly cleaning are 3 hours. However please contact one of our representatives for ongoing offers.
Can I leave a set of keys of my property with the cleaner?
Yes, all of our cleaners are fully vetted and insured. They have all signed Privacy and Confidentiality Agreement.
Would I have the same cleaner every week?
Yes, you would have the same cleaner, except when she is on holiday or not feeling well. In any of those cases you would be notified as soon as possible and offered a replacement cleaner.
Do you supplying the cleaning products and equipment on regular basis?
Milie does not supply the cleaning products and equipment for regular cleaning appointments, unless it is for commercial customers. Providing supplies and equipment is entirely your responsibility. If you are not sure what kind of cleaning products the cleaner needs, please have a look at our general cleaning products list.
Could I request a specific cleaning day and time?
Yes, you could.
What would happen if the cleaning lady does not come when scheduled?
As soon as this happen, please notify us immediately. Milie would look at the matter and you would get a different cleaner for the day if possible.

Do you work over the weekend and Bank Holidays?
Yes, we provide services during weekdays, weekends and Bank Holidays at no extra cost.
How quick can I get a cleaner?
Milie could arrange for the same day services, but we would really appreciate if you gave us between 2 to 3 days in advance.
Do you have different charge for regular weekly and fortnightly cleaning?
For each of our services the charges are different due to the frequency and amount of hours you would need a cleaner for. Please contact our representatives for more information.
Do you have minimum hours per visit on regular basis?
Yes, our minimum hours per visit are 3 hours.
What tasks your cleaner's complete on regular basis?
Milie professionals are trained to complete our standard task list which includes ironing.
However we understand you can prepare your own tasks depending on your needs and leave it for the cleaner to complete it.
What is the maximum number of items your cleaners can iron in an hour?
Our cleaners are trained to iron between 6-10 items per hours, but that very much depends on your iron and how dried up the clothes are.
What happens if I am not happy with the cleaner?
We at Milie inspect the services we provide whilst our cleaners are working, to ensure that our standards and your requirements are met and achieved. However if you are not satisfied with service we will arrange a meeting between you , the cleaner and one of Milie's Supervisors to try and solve the problem. If afterwards the problem still exists we will change your cleaner.
What is the procedure if I need to change the cleaning day, cancel a cleaning or do not require your services anymore?
If you need to change the cleaning day we need at least a week notice. If you would like to cancel/ reschedule service, you need to notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in paying penalty fee worth one full cleaning service. If you need to terminate our service you need to notify us 30 days in advance.
